The Ten Virgins

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. Matthew 25:1

The kingdom of heaven symbolizes the realm of the mind. It is likened unto 10 virgins because 10 is associated with the purification of the mind, Israel (consisting of 10 tribes) symbolizing the Mind.

Jacob's first 10 sons came through Leah and the bondmaids symbolizing flesh and bondage. Judging (overcoming) the negative aspects of these 10 sons/tribes (12x10=120) removes the flesh of the mind, symbolized by the veil that stood between the "wordly sanctuary" and "the holiest place of all," symbolizing the mind and heart. This veil was literally rent upon Jesus' crucifixtion, symbolizing the transition from the purification of the mind (i.e. repentance) to the purification of the heart (i.e. perfection).

And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. Genesis 6:3

And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,) Acts 1:15

These 10 sons or tribes are the same as the "nations" mentioned in Revelation 2:26:

And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations..."

Be watchful and and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. Revelation 3:2. This is where we begin to do the heart work.

The lamp symbolizes the vessel that holds the oil, which produces the light. That vessel is the heart.

And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Matthew 25:2

The number five symbolizes taxation, which spiritually is to make a choice between carnal and spiritual as the Jews were being taxed through Jesus to make a choice between the letter of the law and the spirit of the law, between flesh and spirit. Jesus came in the 5th; in the beginning of the 5th thousand year. The 5th is also associated with light as the 5th dimension is light, Jesus referred to as "the light of the world."

They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: Matthew 25:3

The foolish had no oil, no anointing. The anointing is that of spirit and word, the spirit being the energy that brings the word, bringing the light of truth.

And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. Genesis 1:2,3.

The foolish were lacking the anointing that would have given them light, so they remained in darkness. These five virgins represent those that have made the choice to accept a belief that has deceived them into thinking they have purified their minds. But they are in darkness, having no light, no understanding.

Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand. Daniel 12:10

But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. Matthew 25:4

While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. Matthew 25:5

Jesus is the bridegroom, delaying for more than 1500 years due to the religious iniquity that has made man unconscious, possessed by "the spirit of slumber."

(According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day. Isa 29:10

And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. Daniel 12:2,3.

And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. Matthew 25:6-9

Midnight is the 12th hour, 12 representing the spiritual judgment through which we purifiy our mind and heart. The bridgroom cometh to sow God's holy seed, which will be conceived within the spiritual womb or heart of the true spiritual virgins, those that have purified themselves through a spiritual anointing. It is going to take everything we have to prepare ourselves, to get ourselves ready for this spiritual marriage.

And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Matthew 25:10

Marriage is intercourse, a spiritual or communicative intercoursing of the holy seed of truth within the heart.

The marriage also symbolizes the union or reconciliation of the Mind and Heart, which have become separated, illustrated by the separation of Israel and Judah.

Living in the 3rd dimension we are subject to time. And if we are wise we will use this time to prepare ourselves, making ourselves holy for this spiritual marriage. The door was shut to those that had not prepared themselves. We prepare ourselves for this sacred union through 6 spiritual days of spiritual works, which are revealed to us through the 6 churches of Asia, the last of which is Philadelphia:

And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door... Revelation 3:7,8

Through our 6 days of work comes the creation of a "new heaven and a new earth;" a new mind and a new heart, the "new Jerusalem," symbolizing a new purified state of being that prepares us for this most sacred and holy union.

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Revelation 21:1,2

Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Matthew 25:11

But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. Luke 13:27
